We are now confirming travel for 2024 and 2025
This is our most popular itinerary in Rwanda. If you are interested in adding or modifying an itinerary, please contact us to discuss.
This itinerary is for high school and college students and can be modified upon request.
Travel to Rwanda. Students will fly through Europe and change planes in either Belgium, Germany or Istanbul.
Students will visit the Rwandan Genocide Musuem with a private docent. Students will have time to reflect and debrief on this very powerful and emotional place.
Students will travel to Musanze and visit the The Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and learn about the conservation efforts that brought the mountain gorilla back from brink of extinction. Students will hike to the Dian Fossey grave site. In the evening students will enjoy a cultural dance performance.
Students will trek the globus monkey with trained park rangers at Volcanoes National Park. In the afternoon, students will visit a cultural village.
Students will embark on the hike of a lifetime. Students will trek the rare mountain gorilla (only 1,ooo on Earth remain). Students will debrief this amazing experience with trained guides. In the afternoon, time permitting, students will explore the Muzanze Caves.
Students will return to Kigali and visit a local school as well as a coop run by women who survived the Genocide. Students will also visit a local marketplace with artisan crafts.
Student will wake up early to travel to Akagera National Park where they will go on an African safari and have the opportunity to see elephants, zebras, giraffes and maybe even a lion.
Student will return to the USA with a lifetime of memories to share.
